1) Oxygen Generator

1.1. Function

1.1.1. PSA method

The air contains 20. 9 % oxygen , the balance enters a cylinder containing molecular sieve ( zeolite ) . As the air passes through the zeolite , the nitrogen attaches to the zeolite and the oxygen pass through to be stored and used . as the cylinder loads up whit nitrogen , it must be flushed periodically. Thus two cylinders are used and cycled to load and unload the zeolite , thus producing a continuous stream of oxygen ( photo )

1.2. Applications

1.2.1. Fish , shrimp and breeding

The research statistics indicate that the use of oxygen generator in the incubatory shops for hatchling breeding is responsible for the following benefits :

* The increase of hatchlings yield by some 2 to 2.5 times .

* The improved hatchling survival rates reaching up to 98%

* The increase of hatchling weight gain by 1.5 to 1.8 times

* The reduction of incubating period by 2 to 2.5 times ( table )

2) Nitrogen Generator

2.1 Function

2.1.1. PSA method

Compressed air enters one end of two absorber tubes filled with carbon molecular sieve ( cms ) . While the smaller oxygen molecules are adsorbed by the cms , the larger nitrogen molecules pass through and are stored .

Upon saturation , the first absorber releases the oxygen , which the second absorber starts the process over again ( photos )

2.1.2. membrane method

Compressed air enters one end of the permeable membrane . the membrane is comprised of many hollow fibers. The N2 travels the length of the fibers and exits at the other end of the membrane .the O2 in the air passes through the side – wall of the fibers and exits the side of the membrane , continuous flow ( photo )

2.2.1. Food Industry : The use of nitrogen generator specially developed for the purposes of food staff storage and product packing allows avoiding a number of problems such as :

1. Oxidation

2. Molding

3. Microorganisms propagation

4. harmful insects

2.2.2. glass industry

In this industry , nitrogen serves as a means of are furnace electrodes cooling . Besides , it is used for the protection from oxidation in the production process and decreasing air temperature

2.2.3. Electronics

Nitrogen main applications in the electronic industry are prevention of oxidation by semiconductors and electric circuits production , as well as purging and cleaning.

2.2.4. Pharmaceutical industry

Nitrogen is used for the protection of storage containers for raw and product materials , transportation of chemical products , and packing of pharmaceuticals.

2.2.5. Metals industry

Nitrogen is used for the protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metals during annealing as well as in the neutral tempering , relieving , cementing , cyanidation , hard brazing , power metal sintering .

2.2.6. Oil and gas

Nitrogen is used in oil production for formation pressure maintenance and product recovery enhancement . Nitrogen finds application as a means of set pressure maintenance in oil and gas tanks , cleaning of tanks on tank cars.
